Join us for Oyster and Bird Watching at Point Pinole Regional Shoreline Park!
The Watershed Project (TWP) and Golden Gate Bird Alliance (GGBA) at Point
Pinole Shoreline to see native Olympia oysters and birds. We will find native
Olympia oysters on the reef balls and watch birds! TWP provides how we

over there!
Please bring your Rain boots (longer is better) or Waterproof boots to walk on
the mudflat, Binoculars (if you have them), a Water bottle, a Hat, sunglasses,
and sunscreen if needed.
This event will take place in light rain, but heavy rain will cancel the event.
Please RSVP for this event by contacting
satoko@thewatershedproject.org to receive the most current event
instructions and updates. If you are under 18, please request a waiver.

We will meet up at the parking lot in Point Pinole Shoreline Regional Park
(Atlas Staging Area, NOT Giant Highway Staging Area). Hike up to the fishing
pier together (about 25 min hike on a flat trail) and go into the mudflat area to

see the oyster reef balls and Olympia oysters. We will talk about oyster life
stages and bird watching while exploring oyster reef balls. Then, we will hike
back to the parking lot.
