Come join us as we do fall planting of native plants along the top of our bioswale. We’ll be mulching and tending our rain garden and bioswale, as we transform the old Santa Fe Railroad line into a vibrant city bike/pedestrian park. We’ll be planting and tending our plants in anticipation of the fall rainy season, having a fun day out in nature. Come learn about our green infrastructure projects which filter stormwater runoff, and enjoy seeing many exciting projects on the Greenway.
We are gradually transforming a gritty transforming a gritty urban space into beautiful natural gardens to encourage families to get outdoors and to provide native habitat gardens for wildlife, especially birds and pollinators.
Join us on the Richmond Greenway, which runs between Ohio and Chanslor Avenues at 6th Street on Saturday, October 28th.
