Join us to clean up and assess the health of Grayson Creek! A morning assessment of benthic macroinvertebrates (bottom-dwelling bugs that can tell us about creek health) will be followed by lunch and then a trash assessment and cleanup. 9:30am-12pm: Benthic macroinvertebrate (BMI) assessment on Grayson Creek at Chilpancingo Pkwy
12-1pm: Lunch at a nearby restaurant
1-3:30pm: Trash assessment on Grayson Creek at Center Ave
Meeting location: Please meet us in the parking lot at the corner of Contra Costa Blvd and Chilpancingo Pkwy (see image below). The BMI assessment location is a short walk from there, and we can walk and/or carpool to the trash assessment site half a mile downstream at Center Ave.
