About Our Education Programs
At The Watershed Project, we are committed to offering programs for all grade levels that encourage students to get offscreen and outdoors into nearby nature as much as possible, whether that’s their backyard, a neighborhood park, or even a weed sprouting in between the cracks on a sidewalk. All of our programs include time in nearby nature, NGSS and Common Core Standards, hands-on activities with household or provided materials, and social-emotional learning and mindfulness. In most cases, our educators teach the lessons with your students, but we’re also happy to provide curriculum if you prefer to do so.
This year we also have a special pilot program. We’re offering a $750 stipend for any high school teachers who are interested in piloting a new Ocean Acidification and Resilience program with their students. We’ll provide training, lesson plans, lab materials for your students, and the ongoing support needed for you to be successful in teaching these lessons with your students.
