Join us for a community volunteer event at 19th Street on the Greenway, sheetmulching a new bioswale. Come see our Greenway rain garden and bioswale in action, filtering and absorbing recent storm runoff. We’ll have a fun day outside weeding, planting native plants and sheetmulching while soaking up all the signs of spring. We are converting an old railroad track into a beautiful pedestrian/cycling park that runs through Richmond.
No experience necessary and children are welcome, accompanied by an adult. Tools, gloves, water and snacks will be provided. Please bring a reusable water bottle if you have one. Wear sturdy shoes and clothes that can get dirty. Heavy rain cancels.
Students are welcome to do community service and if under 18, please email us for a waiver as parent permission is required.
Please meet us at 20th and Ohio on the Richmond Greenway at 10am.
