2017 Coastal Cleanup Day Invitation
On this international day of action, volunteers are needed to join The Watershed Project and our partners to remove massive amounts of debris that accumulate on our beaches and inland shorelines. Together, we can help protect marine habitat! Bring your families and friends to one of many Bay Area locations. Shimada Friendship Park REGISTER HERE
When: Saturday, September 16, 9am – 12pm
Where: Shimada Friendship Park Peninsula Drive and Marina Bay Pkwy, Richmond
Hosted by The Watershed Project and County Supervisor John Gioia. Volunteers will walk the Bay Trail and the edge of the salt marsh picking up trash and debris. All materials are provided, but bring your own reusable items- plastic buckets, bags, gloves and water bottles- if you can. Wear boots or shoes that can get dirty. There will be a free BBQ at noon.

Albany Beach and Bulb REGISTER HERE
When: Saturday, September 16, 9am – 12pm
Where: Albany Bulb, at the foot of Buchanan Street, Albany
All materials are provided, but bring your own reusable items- plastic buckets, bags, gloves and water bottles- if you can. Sand sifting tools are also useful on the beach. Wear boots or shoes that can get dirty, and protect yourself from too much sun.
Dogs on 6ft leashes on the beach during this special event, please.

Flotsam Flotilla at the Richmond Shoreline
