Spring is officially here — a season of awakening, new life, and warmer weather! All things to celebrate, perhaps this year more than ever.

This April, in honor of Earth Day, The Watershed Project invites you to join us in celebrating planet Earth through three fun challenges that involve exploration, education, and a donation to support your local watershed!
- Join the Watershed Exploration Challenge! Explore your watershed through three different courses. Each course has a map and directions that lead you to checkpoints that explain natural and cultural history in Albany. Collect letters at each checkpoint to spell a word that you can enter to win a prize! There are also two fun activities you can do without leaving home: a mapping activity and educational trivia challenge.
- Join our Instagram Live for our “Hell Strip to Habitat” Sidewalk Garden Challenge! Join us on April 24 to witness the installation of a community sidewalk garden in North Richmond. Learn from our experts about techniques and inspiration for transforming your own sidewalk strip into a community habitat garden. Register and join us on Instagram Live on April 24: @thewatershedproject_

- Support our work by contributing to our $5,000 Donation Challenge! Now more than ever, our earth calls for healthy watersheds that support all members of the community within them. Please consider lending support to The Watershed Project in our ongoing mission to inspire SF Bay Area communities to understand, appreciate, and protect our shared watersheds. Whether $5 or $5,000, your contribution will enrich and enhance our watershed education programs, our green infrastructure projects, and the monitoring of stream health throughout the East Bay.
We all have a stake in our shared San Francisco Bay Delta Watershed as a special place for our communities to thrive. Enjoy exploring!
