Coastal Cleanup Day at Wildcat Creek near Verde Elementary School

Join The Watershed Project for the Coastal Cleanup Day event at Wildcat Creek! We will be removing plastic trash and other debris from Wildcat Creek downstream of the Giaramita Street bridge. Volunteers should bring gloves, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, long pants, and sturdy shoes or boots.  All supplies will be provided by the District; water and refreshments will be provided. Calling all oyster enthusiasts! It’s that time of year again – time to get out on the mudflats and monitor oysters at Point Pinole Regional Shoreline. Over the course of several years, volunteers built 100 reef balls which were deployed in 2013 as substrate for the native Olympia oyster. Twice a year we go out and survey everything that's growing on the reef balls, from algae to oysters and other invertebrates. Due to the tide schedule in the fall we’ll…
