Second Saturday on the Richmond Greenway
December 8 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Please join The Watershed Project and enjoy being out in nature on the Richmond Greenway for our monthly Second Saturday event. We will start our winter season planting of native plants in our bioswale, part of our new Greenway Park. We will mulch and tend our trees and native plants as we work to complete this beautiful park expanse designed to bring shade and natural beauty to the surrounding neighborhood.
This month, we will be at Carlson Meadow, located on Carlson Blvd near Ohio Ave.
Tools, gloves, water and snacks will be provided. Please bring a reusable water bottle. Wear sturdy shoes and be prepared to get dirty if not a little muddy!
Heavy rain cancels; if it is raining lightly, we can see the bioswale in action!
Students are welcome to do community service. If under 18, parent permission is required, so please bring a signed waiver: click to download. We can also schedule weekday opportunities for groups of 8 or more. Contact Sharon (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.
Please join us for a fun day on the Greenway!
